How to Enable the Crystal Reports Developer Option on the ERwin Data Modeler Menu - CA Technologies ERwin Knowledge Base
Sometimes, after installing Crystal Reports, the Crystal Reports Developer option remains incative on the CA ERwin Data Modeler menu.
This document includes instructions that may require editing your Registry.
Improper use of the Registry Editor can cause irreversible damage to your system!
If you are not familiar with—and completely comfortable with—the use of the Registry Editor,
please seek assistance from your local IT support or contact CA Technical Support for assistance.
First, please make sure CA ERwin Data Modeler is not running. You can open Task Manager to make sure there are no processes named “erwin.exe” active.
Next open your Registry Editor and rename the following keys if they exist:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CA\ERwin Data Modeler\9.0\Crystal Reports Path
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CA\ERwin Data Modeler\9.0\OLD_Crystal Reports Path
Not all of these keys will appear on all systems. The first key will appear on 64-bit systems, the second will appear on 32-bit systems. Most systems will have two of the above three keys.
After the keys have been renamed, they will be recreated when ERwin Data modeler is restarted.
